Terms of Service for novelteller
Welcome to novelteller! These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of our platform and services.
Please read these Terms carefully before accessing or using novelteller. By using our platform, you agree
to be legally bound by these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using novelteller, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally
bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you may not use our platform.
2. Use of novelteller
(a) Account Creation: To access certain features of novelteller, you must create an account. You agree to
provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and to update such
information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.
(b) User Responsibilities: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account
information. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security.
3. Content Ownership and Exclusivity
(a) All Content Property of novelteller: All content created, submitted, or posted on novelteller is the
exclusive property of novelteller.
(b) User-Generated Content Exclusivity: By submitting content, authors grant novelteller exclusive, nontransferable rights to use, reproduce, and distribute such content solely within the novelteller platform.
(c) Exclusivity Period: Authors agree to an initial exclusivity period of two (2) years, allowing novelteller to
maintain a competitive and distinct content library.
(d) Exceptions: novelteller may, at its discretion, allow exceptions to exclusivity in certain circumstances,
subject to a written agreement between novelteller and the author.
(e) Fanfictions and Translations: Users posting fanfictions or translations are required to obtain explicit
permission from the original authors before submitting such content. novelteller does not claim ownership
of fanfictions or translations and acknowledges the rights of the original authors.
4. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
(a) Use novelteller for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
(b) Post, upload, or distribute any content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or
obscene.
(c) Attempt to gain unauthorized access to novelteller’s systems or networks.
(d) Use any automated means, including bots, spiders, or scrapers, to access novelteller for any purpose.
5. Copyright Laws
(a) Copyright Ownership: novelteller respects copyright laws. Authors retain full copyright to their original
content. Authors may sell exclusive or non-exclusive copyrights to novelteller, subject to a separate written
agreement.
6. Revenue Sharing for Authors
(a) General Principles: Authors eligible for revenue sharing will be contacted by novelteller. Upon eligibility,
authors will be required to sign the novelteller Author Revenue Sharing Agreement, outlining the terms and
conditions of revenue sharing based on the consumption and popularity of their content.
(b) Modifications by novelteller: novelteller reserves the right to modify the revenue sharing structure,
percentages, and payment terms at its sole discretion. Any modifications will be communicated to authors
through the platform or via email, and continued use of novelteller following such modifications constitutes
acceptance of the changes.
(c) Non-Negotiable Changes: Authors acknowledge that adjustments to the revenue profit percentage are
non-negotiable.
7. Minimum Earnings and Maximum Claim
(a) Minimum Earnings: Authors can make earnings claims through the redemption of paid coins when their
accumulated earnings reach a minimum of 100 USD. Earnings below this threshold will not be eligible for
redemption.
(b) Maximum Monthly Claim: Authors can make earnings claims up to a maximum of 5000 USD per month.
Any earnings beyond this limit will be rolled over to the next month.
8. Payment Process
(a) Payment Frequency: novelteller will process earnings claims on a monthly basis.
(b) Payment Method: Earnings will be paid to authors through ApplePay, Googlepay, PayPal, or direct bank
transfer as specified in the author’s account settings.
(c) Taxes and Fees: Authors are responsible for any taxes or fees associated with the earnings received from
novelteller. novelteller will not withhold any taxes and will not be responsible for any tax-related obligations
of authors.
9. Withdrawal of Earnings
(a) Upon Novel Completion: Authors may request to withdraw all accumulated earnings upon the
completion of their novel. novelteller will process withdrawal requests in accordance with the payment
terms outlined in the revenue sharing agreement.
(b) Withdrawal Process: Authors can initiate the withdrawal process through their account settings on
novelteller. novelteller will use the payment method specified by the author to transfer the earnings.
(c) Processing Time: Withdrawal requests will be processed within one week (5 business days), excluding
Saturdays and Sundays. Authors will be notified once the transaction is completed.
10. Account Inactivity and Deletion
(a) Inactivity Period: If an author’s account remains inactive for a continuous period of 6 months (no logins
or account activity), novelteller reserves the right to consider the account as inactive.
(b) Account Deletion: In the event of account inactivity, novelteller may, at its discretion, deactivate and
subsequently delete the author’s account. Prior to deletion, novelteller will make reasonable efforts to
notify the author via the email address associated with the account.
(c) Effect of Deletion: Upon account deletion, the author’s content may no longer be accessible on
novelteller, and any accrued but unredeemed earnings may be forfeited.
11. Legal Safeguards
(a) Binding Nature: These Terms of Service, including the novelteller Author Revenue Sharing Agreement,
constitute a legally binding agreement between authors and novelteller. Authors expressly agree to the
terms and conditions outlined herein.
(b) No Claims Against novelteller: Authors agree not to initiate any legal claims, suits, or disputes against
novelteller, its affiliates, or its representatives, arising from or related to the use of the novelteller platform,
revenue sharing, or any other aspects governed by these Terms. This provision is a material condition for
accessing and using novelteller.
(c) Dispute Resolution: In the event of any dispute, authors agree to follow the dispute resolution
provisions outlined in Section 11. Good-faith negotiations are encouraged, and legal action should only be
pursued when a resolution cannot be achieved through negotiation.
(d) No Liability for Platform Changes: Authors acknowledge that novelteller may make changes to the
platform, policies, or revenue sharing structure at its discretion. Authors waive any claims, demands, or
actions against novelteller arising from such changes.
(e) Compliance with Laws: Authors agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations. Any violation
may result in account suspension, termination, or legal action as deemed appropriate by novelteller.
(f) Indemnification: Authors agree to indemnify and hold novelteller harmless from any claims, damages,
or liabilities arising from their use of the platform, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any thirdparty rights.
(g) No Class Action: Authors waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration
against novelteller.
12. Amendments to Policies
novelteller reserves the right to amend the withdrawal, account deletion, and other policies outlined in
these Terms. Any amendments will be communicated to authors through the platform or via email, and
continued use of novelteller following such amendments constitutes acceptance of the changes.
13. Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute regarding earnings, account status, or any other matter, both novelteller and the
author agree to attempt to resolve the matter through good-faith negotiations. If a resolution cannot be
reached, either party may pursue legal action as outlined in the dispute resolution provisions of these Terms.
